‘The Endless Chain’ is a cinematic exploration of Old Boys’ networks at traditional boys schools in South Africa, through the lens of Wynberg Boys' High School, the second oldest school in the country and alma mater of director, Michael Klein.

Production began in September 2016 during the celebration of the schools 175th birthday and follows a group of Grade 8s as they get inducted into the schools traditions, Matrics as they leave on their last day, the director's class returning for their ten year reunion and the Class of 1966 celebrating 50 years of attachment to the school.

Through observation and interviews, film examines the roots of these links, why men remain fiercely loyal to the institution so many years later, and the men who feel excluded from this brotherhood.
